  2. MAGIC ERASER
  3. One of the undocumented features of Sim City 2000 is the
  4. ability to "erase" a structure that you have built and
  5. then be able to re-use that land space while still
  6. retaining the population values from the original
  7. structure.  I have been able to use this technique to
  8. "erase" 140 Launch Arcos and rebuild over the reclaimed
  9. land space. When to use the query tool, the sim still
  10. tells you it "sees" an arco. Here's how you do it:
  11. 1. Make a backup copy of your city in case you mess up
  12. 2. Click on the water/tree icon
  13. 3. Select trees
  14. 4. Hold down the shift key and the left mouse button
  15. 5. Slowly drag the mouse cursor over the tiles you want
  16.    to erase while continuing to hold down the shift key
  17.    and depressing the mouse button.  You will see your
  18.    structures "disappear".
  19. 6. Make frequent use of the rotate view tool to make sure
  20.    you only erase the tiles you have selected
  21. 7. If you release the shift key or mouse button by mistake,
  22.    go back to step 2 and start over.
